About the Founder
Jamell L. Satchell (JLS) pledged the Tau Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in Spring 2000. Driven by a desire for quality and craftsmanship, Jamell launched IvyDoghouse in 2018 after realizing that the available Greek apparel didn’t match his elevated standards.
The pandemic gave him time to reflect and refine his vision. He rebranded as JLS, a name that embodies both his personal legacy and a commitment to expansion. Jamell was tired of $40–$60 sweatshirts that began peeling after just a few washes. He wanted to create something much more enduring—garments that stand the test of time, worthy of being passed down through generations.
Imagine wearing your grandfather’s shirt from the 1960s, and it’s still in perfect condition. That’s the kind of quality that sets JLS apart.
